Pulled you apart, piece by piece, until even your name felt distant to you. As did your family. As did your progeny. So, you abandoned them all. Leaving them to wither beneath the burden of your memory, or to grow in the hollows created by your absence. You left behind only memories. Memories of a monster. Now, your name is scarcely spoken above a whispered warning, and the shadows are all that hold the weight of your unending presence.
